Welcome to Hagley Cricket Club's website.
We are a small village club in North Worcestershire three miles from Stourbridge and 12 miles southwest of Birmingham.
We run two sides on a Saturday, playing in the Worcestershire County League. The First XI play in the Third Division and the Second XI in Division Two.
On Sundays, the majority of cricket that we play is well established friendlies, the majority of which are at home.
Seniors train on Tuesday nights during the summer and anyone is welcome to turn up around 7pm to be considered for membership of the club.
We have a thriving Junior section. This season we have started age groups for 7 and 8 year olds, as well as the usual age groups up to 16. The Under 11 age group practice on Fridays evenings and the older juniors on Monday evenings during the summer. We hope to receive Clubmark issued by the ECB in 2008.
Our clubhouse is a traditional wooden building within the grounds of Hagley Hall and we play here courtesy of the Hall's owner, Viscount Cobham. The club was formed in 1834 and thus we will be celebrating our 175th anniversary in 2009.
Within the clubhouse we have a bar and seating to watch games and good size home and away changing rooms with showers. We also have two artificial practice nets within the grounds which have recently been renovated.
We are privileged to play at one of the most beautiful grounds in the country. It is a very sociable club with a strong emphasis on young players with a large number of senior players coming up through our own youth set-up. However, we are always welcoming of new talent at any level and feel free to contact any of the commitee listed on further pages.
Saturday 28 June As we reach the halfway point of the season the 1st team are in 3rd place and the 2nd team are in 4th place as we push for double promotion. Following last week's cancellation the 1st
